Acne Scar Treatment

This treatment utilizes fractional radio frequency (RF) to deliver targeted thermal energy that stimulates collagen production in the skin. In a number of patients, biopsy evidence has shown a significant reduction in 50% or more of the scarring after only 4 treatments. For even greater smoothing of the acne scars, patients may wish to consider additional treatments. Unlike most other lasers and similar light therapies, RF treatments are safe and effective on both light skin and dark skin tones. Stretch Mark Reduction

RF successfully improves the appearance of stretch marks by rebuilding existing collagen and generating new collagen in the dermis. RF essentially uses radio frequency to resurface the skin. It sparks the growth of new collagen, enabling healthy skin tissue to entirely eliminate the appearance of even the most visible stretch marks. Unlike surgery, which can only remove stretch marks on the abdomen, this treatment can be used on any part of the body where stretch marks appear.

Microneedling

Automated Microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of skin’s texture, tone and color. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with softer wrinkles. A layer of serum is placed on the skin to kick-start the rejuvenation process.

RFFX Microneedling Rosacea Treatment

RFFX microneedling combines the science of microneedling with radiofrequency technology to activate the body’s repair mechanisms on a sub-dermal cellular level. Microneedling involves piercing through the top layer of skin with ultra-fine needles that penetrate the lower layers of the skin. As the needles penetrate the skin, gentle but powerful radio-frequency (RFFX) waves are delivered into the tissue. The RF thermal energy also stimulates the body’s repair response – healing inflammation and restoring skin to a healthy state.

A clinical study on the effectiveness of RF microneedling on rosacea was conducted by the Seoul National University Hospital Research Fund and National Research Foundation of Korea. Those reports determined that fractional microneedling radiofrequency therapy  significantly improves the appearance and inflammation of rosacea, in studies with mild to moderate rosacea.

Researchers in that study saw clinical improvements in 81% of the treated patients – with significant reductions in rosacea as well as less itching, heat, burning, or pricking on the treated side. And, in that study, no serious side-effects were reported during the RF microneedling.

Skin Tag Removal

For the removal of skin tags, our skilled practitioners specialize in electrocoagulation, a technique utilizing high-frequency heat for minor skin blemishes. The heat forms a small scab in place of the skin tag, which in turn, falls off in 3-7 days. Skin tags form on many different parts of the body and can be removed in one to three sessions depending on quantity.
